Being a soccer referee can be both rewarding and fulfilling. Young players learning responsibility and contributing to the sport is a primary mission of the Middletown Youth Soccer Club.
Join the MYSC Fall Recreation Soccer Program as a referee and earn $15 per game. Serving as a referee is also a factor in evaluating applicants for our 'Service to the Club' Scholarship program.
To referee Fall Recreation Games, you must be at least 12 years old by September 1st. All candidates are required to attend a one-hour training session to qualify as a referee.
For those interested in refereeing competitive games, you must complete the US Soccer Federation Grassroots Referee Training. You must be at least 13 years of age to register for the training. The training consists of online modules and an in-person training clinic.
MYSC Competitive Refeeres can earn up to $60 per game.
